Longmorn LONGMORN 1996-2014 18yo Cask & Thistle #105076 52% one of 180 bottles The aroma is elegant and offers a diverse range of fruity notes, including peach, pear, pineapple, orange, vanilla cream, and a strong grainy character. Upon tasting, it delivers similarly diverse fruity notes typical of Speyside, with vanilla cream, a restrained oakiness, and a good grain presence. The finish is also pleasant and smooth. 【Good/Very Good】 This is a single cask Longmorn 1996, aged for 18 years, from the Cask & Thistle bottling line, which was bottled last year. From the first impression, it is elegant and offers a diverse range of Speyside-like fruits such as peach, pear, citrus, and pineapple in both aroma and flavor. The grain character is present but not overpowering, and the typically woody oak notes often associated with new releases of this kind are well-controlled. The pleasant and smooth finish without any off-notes was also a highlight. I thought this was an excellent new release that still carries the house style.
