On the palate, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel before gradually building into spicy heat, with green apple, citrus, vanilla, honey sweetness, strong barley notes and umami, deepened by oak tannins. Strongly briny, slightly oily with a long finish. 【Very Good】 The so-called hand-bottled Pulteney, which offers bottles filled and sold directly at the distillery. A single cask bottling from the 1997 vintage, bottled in 2012. This is a bottle I've previously tasted and featured. A Pulteney hand-bottling with the characteristic heavy house style, but adding a remarkably floral aroma. After about two years of aging post-bottling, it left an impression of having become even more complex. It seems like it will only improve further.
