[Good/Very Good] This is an official single cask Arran 1997 for the Limburg Whisky Fair, matured in a sherry cask for 16 years. The sherry character is quite rich but not overwhelming, creating a favorable impression. The nose offers a succession of expectations exceeding the specs: ripe fruits, milk chocolate, coconut, and a well-balanced grain presence. The drinking experience is entirely pleasant with good sweetness and acidity, a gentle body, and a stress-free finish that lingers. While Arran often exhibits refined sherry characteristics without being off-putting, this particular expression stood out for its particularly pleasant drinking experience.
