Upon drinking, it starts with an unexpectedly smooth mouthfeel and expands powerfully and aromatically, giving a rich flavor of apricot jam and honey. It has a good balance of woody notes and tannins, with thickness, richness, and a long finish. 【Very Good】 This is the latest cask of what's called a Valinch, bottling at Aberfeldy Distillery, the #135 from the 1998 vintage. It has a strong aroma, with rich and diverse notes of fruits, chocolate, and earthiness. It is powerful yet refined in its expansion, with a rich honey-like sweetness and a deep, tannic finish. The body is thick, and the aftertaste lingers long. It has aged for approximately 17 years, yet the result is hard to believe. While it's still unclear how long maturation will go, among these vintages of malt whisky, Aberfeldy's official bottling is clearly outstanding.
