Aberfeldy ABERFELDY 1998-2016 OB HAND FILLED #135 55.2% The aroma has sweet milk chocolate, plum, salted caramel and nuts, deep honey from the back, light clove and herbs, soft barley notes. When drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel and expands gently into a fragrant flavor of plum jam, chocolate, rich sweetness, mild bitterness, barley umami, and a rich long finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This is an Aberfeldy 1998 single cask, matured for about 18 years and hand-filled at the distillery around late last year. It lacks diversity but is covered with a pleasant sherried character of Aberfeldy, with notes of milk chocolate and concentrated plum along with honey-like sweetness. The bitterness complements the sweetness, and it has a savory umami flavor, making for a pleasant drinking experience. It was indeed a nice cask selected for hand-filling.
