GLENDULLAN GLENDULLAN 1999-2015 16yo DUN BHEAGAN #5890,5892 43% one of 783 bottles, Barrels
Bottle #グレンダラン(GLENDULLAN)
It turned out to be a surprisingly clean and refined Speyside malt. GLENDULLAN GLENDULLAN 1999-2015 16yo DUN BHEAGAN #5890,5892 43% one of 783 bottles, Barrels The aroma is very vibrant and Speyside-like with green apple, fresh orange, vanilla, strong florals, and a gentle barley note in the background. The texture is surprisingly smooth on the palate with green apple, vanilla, pleasant oak, and a light coconut, honey-like sweetness, and a balanced acidity with a clean finish. [Good/Very Good] This is a 16-year-old GLENDULLAN bottled by DUN BHEAGAN this year. From the first sniff, it exhibits a classic Speyside elegance with floral and fruity notes, as well as a pleasant barley character. The texture is remarkably composed, with the bourbon cask influence working well. The water addition during the vatting of two barrels, known for their early maturation, seems to have worked effectively, with no signs of immaturity. While not particularly unique in its aroma profile, it is refined without the harshness often associated with cask strength bottlings. I believe this bottle was perfectly watered down at the optimal moment.
