It appears to have been aged in a first-fill bourbon barrel, with strong oak, vanilla, and coconut notes from the cask. The barley has some youthful characteristics, and a slight woody scent was detected in the aroma. Upon tasting, surprisingly, the woody notes and accompanying bitterness are not harsh. In addition to a peculiar sesame oil-like nuance, it is a classic bourbon cask malt.
