When drinking it, there is some viscosity but also a strong attack, savory grain flavor, honey-like sweetness with saltiness, and body. This is a joint bottling with ARen Trading from Taiwan. Although it's only 12 years old since distillation in 2001, which is quite short, it doesn't have much of the off-flavors that come with youth due to barrel aging. It's not a complex composition, but it showcases the Pulteney character well with citrus, oil, savory grain notes, and a rich sweetness with stronger saltiness. Also, considering the cask involved from The Whisky Agency, it lacks the boldness that one might expect from a short-matured Pulteney, and it wasn't as heavy as one might imagine from the specs, which was also impressive.
