As expected, the cask selection is excellent. BOWMORE 2001-2014 13yo THE WHISKY AGENCY with THREE RIVERS, 50.9% ABV One of 272 bottles, Refill Hogshead The aroma is vibrant, featuring tropical fruits like passion fruit and guava, citrus notes, fresh malt, strong smoky peat, a gentle seafood dashi-like nuance. On the palate, similar tropical fruits and grapefruit, vanilla, a robust peat presence, rich sweetness, oak and botanical elements, with a long, oily, peaty finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This BOWMORE 2001, aged 13 years, was bottled in collaboration between THE WHISKY AGENCY and Japan's THREE RIVERS. The aroma clearly showcases recent BOWMORE characteristics like passion fruit and fresh citrus, with a youthful malt profile but no notable greenness. The Islay-like peat and briny, seafood nuances are distinctly present. Tasting reveals the same tropical fruit and citrus dominance as the aroma, with a rich sweetness and lingering peat/oil finish. While post-2000 BOWMORE releases often lean towards light-bodied, paper-like textures, this bottling truly highlights the classic fruity BOWMORE profile, as expected from THE WHISKY AGENCY x THREE RIVERS collaboration. Considering the vintage, it would be nice if it were slightly more affordable, but the contents were certainly worth it.
