On the palate it is smooth with a very milky flavor, as unique as the aroma, slightly flat but rich and sweet sherry notes with a long finish. [Good/Very Good] This is an official (signature) Edradour 2001, 14-year-old sherry cask bottled last year. While the rich sherry character dominates, a creamy coffee fresh-like nuance and milk chocolate-like flavor are clearly present in both aroma and taste. Of course, there is no trace of the perfumy elements typical of recent releases. Although the alcohol content is high, it has a smooth texture and gives a unique house style feeling with its flat sweetness. This might be the easiest distillery to identify blindfolded right now.
