Aberfeldy ABERFELDY 2001-2016 OB HAND FILLED #21425 57.6%
Bottle #アバフェルディ(ABERFELDY)
It had a well-balanced, textbook deliciousness. Aberfeldy ABERFELDY 2001-2016 OB HAND FILLED #21425 57.6% The aroma features honey and orange oil, faint pear, a fresh grainy note, pleasant oak, vanilla, and nuts. On the palate, it offers a rich sweetness reminiscent of homemade orange marmalade and honey, with subtle tannins and slight bitterness from the oak, a surprisingly mellow grainy character and umami, with lingering orange oil in the finish. [Good/Very Good] This is a hand-filled bottling from Aberfeldy Distillery, which was prepared by the advance team during our recent visit to Scotland. It is a single cask from the 2001 vintage, aged for approximately 15 years. It has a refined and elegant bourbon cask character with citrus notes centered around orange oil and marmalade, as well as a honey-like sweetness that is characteristic of Aberfeldy. The oak and its tannins are well-balanced, adding depth to the flavor without any bitterness, with a long and pleasant finish. While I believe they selected special casks for this hand-filled bottling, experiencing the 2001 vintage aged for 15 years and being filled at the time of bottling was a real revelation. #Aberfeldy (ABERFELDY)
