Bottle #ベンローマック(BENROMACH)
It was a bit forceful but it turned out well. Benromach BENROMACH 2008-2016 OB for JAPAN WHISKY RESEARCH CENTRE #407 59.9% one of 248 bottles, First Fill Bourbon Barrel The aroma has orange oil and rich, strong oak, vanilla, young malt, nut cream, and peat from the back. When drinking it, it gradually becomes spicy, orange, vanilla sweetness, honey, young malt, strong peat with tar, and the malt and strong oak remain for a long time. [Good/Very Good] This is Benromach 2008 bottled for the Whisky Research Centre, aged approximately 8 years. As a Speyside malt, it's quite short in aging but seems to have been in a good bourbon barrel, allowing elements like orange oil and honey-like qualities to be clearly felt along with strong oak. Because of this, the youthfulness in the malt seems quite masked. Also, the peat with a tarry quality was quite pronounced, which was impressive. There's also a slightly forceful finish from the cask and peat, but for this aging period, it's quite impressive. #Benromach (BENROMACH)
