Upon drinking, it has a slightly concentrated texture, spicy with fresh citrus, strong barley and its umami, vanilla, oak tannins, strong peat. It still shows youthfulness but has a bold flavor and is good. 【Good/Very Good】 Bottled for Maison du Whisky, this official KILCHOMAN 2009-2014 has aged for about 5 years. The aroma had slightly immature root vegetable notes, but also showed citrus, green apple, and vanilla nuances indicative of good cask maturation, along with the strong peat typical of Islay. Upon drinking, it had a slightly concentrated feel reminiscent of Lagavulin, with strong peat and youthfulness, while the barley umami was clearly present.
