Releases from Rosebank's bottler have become increasingly rare. Rosebank ROSEBANK 21yo Speciality Drinks (The Whisky Exchange) 55.1% One of 498 bottles The nose features green apple, orange, vanilla, a subtle floral rose note, dry oak and barley characteristics, with a faint honey sweetness. On the palate, it presents spicy notes with green apple and vanilla, floral elements, a touch of sweetness, mild acidity, and a crisp, edged finish. [Good/Very Good] This is the Rosebank 21 Year Old released by Speciality Drinks (The Whisky Exchange). Calculating backward, this would suggest distillation around 1995. However, Rosebank closed in 1993, making the 21-year-old designation particularly special for Scotland. The high number of bottles suggests it may be a batted (blended) release. Bottles from The Exchange often have varying levels of detailed data depending on the series. This label is new to me, and it beautifully reflects Rosebank's imagery. Crucially, the content showcases strong green apple and vanilla notes often found in Rosebank from bourbon casks. Perhaps due to the distillery and label, it also captures a slight rose-like floral character. Spicy palate with less pronounced sweetness, offering a beautifully crisp flavor profile. While this is a high-priced bottle, its rarity and limited releases make it understandable. It's unfortunate, but the day when new Rosebank releases become unattainable may be approaching soon. #Rosebank (ROSEBANK)
