Talisker 21 Year Old Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Top Notch Collection
Bottle #タリスカー(TALISKER)
The aroma featured concentrated strong citrus, intense peat smoke, smoked seafood, faint vanilla or honey, and mint. The palate had a soft mouthfeel with concentrated citrus, syrupy sweetness, mint, and a light but slightly charred peat smoke. The finish was long.
This Talisker 21 Year Old was bottled around 2000 as part of the Top Notch Collection from Douglas Laing's OMC. The aroma had a concentrated citrus and peat character, with a distinct seafood-like quality typical of island malts. Upon tasting, it showed a refined sweetness without excessive body, with the same concentrated citrus notes and charred peat character asserting themselves from first sip to finish. While not overly intense, it was a well-balanced Talisker with good harmony between fruit and peat.
