New Release: Craigellachie 23 Year Old Official Batch No.67-KA23

Craigellachie CRAIGELLACHIE 23yo OB BATCH No.67-KA23 46%
Bottle #クレイゲラキ(CRAIGELLACHIE)
This is a new release of the elegant official long-matured whisky. Craigellachie CRAIGELLACHIE 23yo OB BATCH No.67-KA23 46% The aroma is lavish, with fresh orange, faint peach, vanilla, white wine, wax, refined barley notes, and a subtle hint of peat in the background. On the palate, there's a citrusy, powdery concentration with white wine, wax, deep barley umami, refined sweetness and acidity, finishing with a pleasant aftertaste. [Good/Very Good] The official bottle of Craigellachie has been redesigned, with several bottles featuring different maturation periods. This particular one is the long-matured 23-year-old variant, likely a small batch as indicated by its batch number. The 46% ABV is notably high, which is a pleasant surprise. The nose offers a complex array of fruity aromas with a touch of unique waxy character. The palate reveals a surprisingly concentrated flavor profile, combining fruity notes with deep barley umami, balanced sweetness and acidity, resulting in a well-rounded and enjoyable malt. While the official bottling's longer maturation makes it relatively expensive for its ABV, I believe this is an exceptionally well-crafted malt.
