Ardbeg 'Lord of the Isles' 25 Year Old Official

Ardbeg ARDBEG 'LORD OF THE ISLES' 25yo OB 46%
Bottle #アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
A nostalgic bottle. As expected, I really liked it. Ardbeq ARDBEG 'LORD OF THE ISLES' 25yo OB 46% The aroma is cool, with strong chlorine and metallic notes, creosote, lemon, vanilla, dry barley, sea breeze, and a strong smoky finish. When drinking, it has a concentrated feel that seeps into the tongue, with lemon, some ripe fruitiness like peach, custard, a cool finish with a clear sweetness, and a hint of oily sardines and smoky long finish. 【Very Good/Excellent】 This is an official Ardbeg bottling, 'Lord of the Isles'. Bottled in 2001, it is said to be vatting casks from 1974 and 1975. From the aroma, it clearly conveys the cool metallic and chlorinated notes typical of 1970s Ardbeg, with strong peatiness characteristic of Islay malts. Although this bottle has been aged for about 15 years since bottling, the addition of water gives it a refined texture that seeps into the tongue. There is also a subtle fruity note, and as with the aroma, the cool metallic nuances typical of 1970s Ardbeg are clearly felt. It is a unique but not off-putting aroma, making it very enjoyable. I could drink it endlessly. This is a nostalgic bottle that recalls my experience of thoroughly enjoying 1970s Ardbeg. I have always loved it, but this reaffirmed my fondness for it. A bottle that cannot be evaluated without sentiment. #Ardbeq (ARDBEG)
