The bottling date is around 2000, suggesting the original spirit was from the mid-1970s. It has a vibrant aroma, with not only citrus fruitiness but also floral notes. There are also nuances of vanilla and custard, likely from bourbon casks. Additionally, the strong peat character typical of Talisker is present. When tasted, it expands beautifully with a vibrant flavor. Within the fruity notes, there was an unexpected strawberry-like sweetness that left an impression. The balance of sweetness, acidity, and saltiness is well done, with a satisfying peat presence and a long, enjoyable finish. It was a very delicious Talisker.
