Tamnavulin TAMNAVULIN 25yo OB Stillman's Dram 45%, one of 1800 bottles
Bottle #タムナヴーリン(TAMNAVULIN)
Aroma with a matured fragrance was good. Tamnavulin TAMNAVULIN 25yo OB Stillman's Dram 45% one of 1800 bottles The aroma has a refined fruity character with notes of pear, peach, orange, custard, tea, and a matured barley scent, with a slightly rustic texture. Upon drinking, it has a smooth mouthfeel with some viscosity, light sweetness reminiscent of apricot and orange jam, and a gentle barley finish. The aftertaste is not long but pleasant. [Good/Very Good] The official Tamnavulin 25 Year Old Stillman's Dram is believed to be a bottling from the 1990s. From the start of the aroma, there's a long-matured feel with fruity notes like nectarine and peach, along with lingering barley characteristics. Desirable elements such as tea and custard also emerge, though it carries a slightly rustic texture. When drinking, the silky texture feels more pronounced than expected from its aromatic complexity. The light jammy sweetness and gentle barley notes left a favorable impression. While it's a well-balanced, long-matured official bottling with a mature character, I appreciated its slightly unrefined quality that feels distinctly Tamnavulin. Additionally, while I've tasted Stillman's Dram from other distilleries, I often find that similar vintage official bottlings from larger companies like Diageo or Pernod Ricard tend to have a more barley-focused, slow-matured character. In contrast, Tamnavulin's Stillman's Dram often exhibits a more estery, bottler-style maturity. #Tamnavulin (TAMNAVULIN)
