Fettercairn Official 1970s Circulation

Fettercairn FETTERCAIRN OB 40% 1970s Circulation
Bottle #フェッターケアン(FETTERCAIRN)
This was my first experience with such an old whisky, but Fettercairn had a distinctive character regardless of the specifications. Fettercairn FETTERCAIRN OB 40% 1970s Circulation The aroma has a moist old character, oil, buttered peanuts, overripe oranges, faint leather, rich, with a smooth mouthfeel that expands firmly, a velvety viscosity, a sweet flavor with apricot jam and honey, nuts, oily, slightly dusty and old peat, with a pleasant aftertaste. [Good/Very Good] This is an official bottle of Fettercairn that circulated in the 1970s. There are no vintage or aging indications. The old character was clearly present, but the oily nature and nutty nuances typical of Fettercairn, as well as the jam-like fruitiness and viscous texture reminiscent of current bottlings, clearly conveyed the house style I had previously recognized. Additionally, it had old-fashioned refined nuances like leather and faint peat, which made me feel excited as it was an untried bottle. It was so delicious that I hesitated between Good and Very Good, but the body's slight lack of vitality suggested it had passed its prime. This was more noticeable on my second tasting. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that this is a very delicious malt for me. As mentioned earlier, it was an interesting bottle that allowed me to recognize the house style that has continued since the past.
